How It Works

 

1. Make a legacy gift.

 

Include Little River Wetlands Project in your will or living trust, or name us as a beneficiary of a retirement account, financial account, life insurance policy, or other qualifying asset. New commitments and updates to existing estate plans are eligible. (see below)

 

2. Tell us about your commitment.

 

Complete the enclosed Legacy Challenge Response Form and return it by mail to Little River Wetlands Project, 8315 W Jefferson Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46804. Or scan and email it to: c.sutter@lrwp.org

 

3. Celebrate your impact.

Once we receive your completed form, a generous donor will make a $1,000 gift to Little River Wetlands Project in honor of your commitment.

No minimum gift amount is required, and you do not need to disclose the value of your planned gift.

Leaving a bequest or legacy gift to Little River Wetlands Project (LRWP) is a meaningful way to protect and restore wetlands for future generations. Your gift will directly support our ongoing efforts to conserve wetlands, educate the community, and promote good environmental stewardship. As a long-time supporter of LRWP, making a bequest is a meaningful way to ensure your commitment continues to make a difference for generations to come.

To include LRWP in your estate plans, please follow these simple steps:

  1. Consult Your Attorney or Financial Advisor: Seek advice from your attorney, accountant, or financial planner to determine the best way to structure your gift.
     

  2. Use Our Official Information: When including LRWP in your will or trust, please use the following details:

    • Legal Name: Little River Wetlands Project, Inc.

    • Address: 8315 W Jefferson Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46804

    • Tax ID Number (EIN): 35-1809569
       

  3. Sample Bequest Language: "I give, devise, and bequeath [specify dollar amount, percentage, or description of property] to Little River Wetlands Project, Inc., a nonprofit organization located at 8315 W Jefferson Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46804, for its general purposes."
     

  4. Notify LRWP (Optional but Encouraged): Letting us know about your plans allows us to acknowledge your generosity and include you in our legacy circle.
