About the event

Join us for Breakfast on the Marsh with Rachel Moorman-Minton, Program Developer and Naturalist for Limberlost and Gene Stratton-Porter State Historic Sites. Dive into the life of Gene Stratton-Porter, the “Bird Woman,” and learn about the Hoosier author and naturalist who made the Limberlost famous around the world. Discover her lasting legacy and how her work continues to inspire conservation and restoration efforts today.

Rachel Moorman-Minton has been the Program Developer and Naturalist for Limberlost and Gene Stratton-Porter State Historic Sites since March of 2025. She is originally from Cincinnati and worked as an interpreter at an urban nature center there before relocating to Northeast Indiana. She graduated from New York University in 2022 with a dual bachelor's degree in Spanish and Global Liberal Studies. She is an avid birder and most recently added the Broad-Winged Hawk to her life list.
