Traditional Use of Plants
Join us May 8th at 8:30am at the Indiana Wesleyan Conference Center for a presentation by Dani Tippmann, a Miami Tribe of Oklahoma Citizen and ARPA Kiikiyonka Community Food Program Director. Dani will share insights into her work with the Miami Tribe and explore the traditional uses of plants.
Dani Tippmann is a Miami Tribe of Oklahoma Citizen, descended from Takumwah, and Chief Jean Baptiste Richardville. She serves the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma as the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Kiikiyonka Community Food Program Director. Dani has been involved in the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma with projects such as the annual Eewaansapita Experience, with cooking and plant knowledge. She recently received the Alliance for California Traditional Artists Taproot Fellowship.
Admission is $8 or LRWP members free
