World Wetlands Day

World Wetlands Day Sponsorship Opportunity

The Little River Wetlands Project is hosting a night of wildlife and wetlands trivia to celebrate World Wetlands Day, Wednesday, February 4th, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hop River Brewing Company.

This event is fun for the whole family with brain-teasing questions, raffles, prizes, and great food, all while learning how wetlands provide clean water, act as flood storage, protect wildlife, and how you can help our local wetlands like Eagle Marsh!

This event is $5 per person. All donations will go directly to restoration efforts and continued education programs at Little River Wetlands Project.

We expect a great turnout (about 80 people).

Cinema Center, 437 E Berry St # 1, Fort Wayne, IN 46802, USA

In celebration of World Wetlands Day, Little River Wetlands Project and ACRES Land Trust, in collaboration with Cinema Center, invite the community to a film event celebrating wetlands and their importance. The evening features "An Invitation to Wonder: Waubesa Wetlands," which follows a young filmmaker guided by his grandfather, wetland scientist Calvin DeWitt, as they explore the Waubesa Wetlands and reflect on our connection to these vital landscapes. A panel discussion with local conservation voices will follow, with time for audience questions and shared conversation.

This event is free, with the option to donate. All donations will go directly to restoration efforts and continued education programs at Little River Wetlands Project.
