Here’s how your donation will help:
- Eagle Marsh, LRWP’s 716-acre restored wetland nature preserve in southwest Fort Wayne, is home to amazing wildlife and offers 12+ miles of nature trails for visitors.
- LRWP maintains a total of five wetland preserves, helps landowners restore and protect natural land, and works to restore lost wetlands in the Little River watershed that covers much of Allen and Huntington Counties.
- Our free nature programs and events (such as Earth Day Fort Wayne and Monarch Festival) serve about 10,000 people annually. Our naturalists and volunteers staff LRWP’s programs for children, families, seniors and other adults.
- LRWP’s almost 1,200 acres of restored and natural wetlands reduce flooding, cleanse groundwater, provide nature recreation, and offer habitat for native wildlife including almost 230 bird species at Eagle Marsh alone. Have you seen the eagles nesting there this year?
Your gift of $25 or more makes you a part of this dynamic organization and brings you our colorful quarterly newsletter, On the Marsh. Contribute $500 or more to become a Wetland Guardian and be invited to special events.
Your generous donation will help us restore and protect wetlands, offer free nature programs for all, and bring the benefits of wetlands to our community.
